| A COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
At Mountain View High School, we are committed to excellence on the playing field and in the classroom. In December at the football banquet, I challenged players, parents and the coaching staff to take the Mountain View Football program to the next level. As a coaching staff, we have made some changes, not only within our staff but also renewed our commitment to the players and the program. Our players must also renew their commitment by continuing to be great students, participating in other sports and school activities, and training. We have started our early morning weight workouts and have had good attendance from players. But good attendance and good hard work only get us a good performance on the field in the fall. If we are to “get better” and take things to the next level, we must have “great attendance” and “great hard work”. That will bring us to great performance in the fall. We are working on finishing our schedule for next year. From what we have put together so far, it will be a difficult one! At this time we have 3 6a teams and a total of 5 play-off teams on our schedule. Parents, please do your part by encouraging your sons to make the workouts now and in the summer. Also, please help them get to our team camp in June. This is one of the most important ingredients in building team unity and improving skills. As mentioned before, we have made the challenge. Only great hard work and commitment will help us achieve our goals. |
